Yes. MailNotes has passed the App Defense Alliance CASA Assessment Tier 2 (Lab Tested & Lab Verified), the independent security audit Google requires for extensions that access Gmail data. Every OWASP category evaluated (authentication, data protection, cryptography, communications and more) received a Pass. The email text is sent encrypted to our server and to OpenAI to generate the summary, and from there to your Notion. We don't store your emails.

It's the button that saves the email to Notion in a single step, with summary, tasks and key data, without going through the preview. If you've written instructions in “Additional context”, it takes them into account too. It uses one credit, just like a preview. A credit is one AI analysis of an email: each preview or Quick Save uses one. Saving the note after you review it doesn't use another, but regenerating the summary does. Free plan credits renew every month. If you run out before then, you can wait for the next cycle or move to Pro, which has no limit.

No, and that's on purpose. MailNotes saves the emails you choose, one by one, so that only what really matters ends up in Notion. It doesn't sync your inbox or read your emails in the background. If you need an automatic archive of everything that arrives, there are forwarding tools built for that.

Yes, MailNotes is compatible with Google Workspace accounts. If your company uses Gmail as its email client, you can use MailNotes as normal. Note that some organizations restrict installing Chrome extensions.

You can revoke access at any time from your Google settings or simply uninstall the extension. No lock-in and no fine print.

CASA (Cloud Application Security Assessment) is an independent security audit backed by the App Defense Alliance, Google's security alliance. Tier 2 is the most demanding level for Chrome extensions and requires a lab assessment by an accredited third party. For MailNotes, that was TAC Security. It means an outside auditor has verified that the extension meets OWASP security standards for handling your Gmail data.

This error appears when MailNotes doesn't have access to any Notion database. When you connect Notion, there's a step where you have to explicitly pick which pages or databases to share with the integration. If you skipped it, or picked a page that isn't a database, MailNotes can't find anywhere to save. To fix it, open Notion, go to Settings → Connections → MailNotes → Manage access and add the database you want to use. You can also disconnect and reconnect Notion from the extension to go through authorization again.
